Taste of the WildTaste of the Wild pet food is manufactured by Diamond Pet Food, owned by Schell & Kampeter, Inc., a family-owned, privately held company founded in 1970. Their headquarters is in Meta, Missouri. Neither Diamond nor Taste of the Wild mentions this connection on their web sites or in other places, probably because Diamond has a history of product recalls (mostly due to Salmonella problems in their plants, but also due to aflatoxins in some foods) and Taste of the Wild is marketed as a premium dog food. According to Taste of the Wild, their food is manufactured in four facilities in the U.S.: one is in northern California, one in central California, one in Missouri and one in South Carolina. Some people who feed Taste of the Wild are such fans of the food (and dislike Diamond so much) that they refuse to believe it is made by Diamond.
